What ChatExport does

ChatExport helps you turn exported WhatsApp chat files into clean text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, or transcript formats on your iPhone or iPad. Conversion happens on your device. The app is sold as a one-time $0.99 purchase through the App Store.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal data. ChatExport processes chats on-device only. Your messages are not uploaded to our servers for conversion. We do not use analytics SDKs.

On-device processing

• Files you share or paste into ChatExport stay on your device for conversion.
• The Share Extension may temporarily store a shared chat in an App Group inbox on your device so ChatExport can open it. That file is consumed and removed when the app imports it.
• Clipboard access is only used when you choose to paste a chat into ChatExport.

Purchases and third parties

• Apple processes the $0.99 App Store purchase and related payment data under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card details.
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app.
• We do not sell your data.

Children’s privacy

ChatExport is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

How to delete your data

Delete (uninstall) the app to remove local app data, including any temporary App Group inbox contents. Chat files you export from WhatsApp remain under WhatsApp’s and your device’s storage until you delete them yourself.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
